When Harvey Ward and his wife Shelly made the move Georgia all the way to our beautiful little town of Paso Robles, he brought with him 28 years of renovating and remodeling experience along with him.
Moving over to California to be closer to his wife’s parents, his Shelly and Harvey decided to settle down here in the North County of San Luis Obispo. After building a very successful and stable home remodeling and renovating out in Georgia, he decided to open up shop and start a new one all over again in Paso Robles.
He has been getting his remodeling business rolling along here for the past two years and it’s been a slow but steady start.
He tells me, “You forget how tough it is to start things over. You work in an area for a while and people get to know you. Word of mouth spreads about the quality work you do and you get plenty of projects to work on.”
He has spent close to three decades renovating properties. This has included room additions, complete kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, and total home renovations. Over in Georgia, he did a lot of second story additions to single story homes. Being on the east coast, he worked on a lot of older homes. He tells me that he really enjoyed renovating homes that were over 130 years old!

This award goes to top-rated professionals and is basically a people’s choice award. That award is a pretty big deal and it shows a true indication of the quality of the work in the home renovation industry.

“It’s all about building relationships”, Harvey tells me. “It takes time but you go out and do your best quality work”
He has started things out here in Paso Robles doing it all. He still does kitchen and bath remodels and builds custom cabinets. He builds additions and can completely remodel a home.
Lucky for him, there is quite a few older home in this area that can use his amazing talents.
Given some time, his reputation will begin to get noticed. He’s getting to know the people of San Luis Obispo County and starting to build those relationships that lead him to more projects.
It’s a tough thing for any business to get started. It’s a great thing that Harvey Ward Construction has such a great track record of creating such amazing and award-winning renovations.
